About TG EAPCET

TG EAPCET is one of the main entrance exams for students looking to pursue professional courses in Telangana. It is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). The exam is used for admissions to courses offered by universities, affiliated colleges and private professional institutions across the state.

The examination is divided into different streams. Students interested in engineering appear for the Engineering stream, while Agriculture and Pharmacy courses are covered under the Agriculture & Pharmacy stream. The engineering stream includes courses such as B.E., B.Tech, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology and other related programmes.

TG EAPCET is conducted in online mode, so candidates take the test on a computer at their allotted examination centre. For 2026, the Engineering examination was scheduled from May 9 to May 11, while the Agriculture and Pharmacy examination was held on May 4 and May 5. The official notification also provides separate application and examination schedules for the two streams.

The application process is completed online. For 2026, the registration fee for one stream was ₹900 for general candidates and ₹500 for SC, ST and PH candidates. Students appearing for both Engineering and Agriculture & Pharmacy streams had to pay ₹1,800 or ₹1,000 respectively.

After the examination, candidates can use their results and rank during the admission process for participating institutions. The counselling and seat-allotment process involves certificate verification followed by the submission of college and course preferences
