About NERIST NEE

NERIST NEE, or NERIST Entrance Examination, is conducted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Arunachal Pradesh. The examination is used for admission to different undergraduate programmes offered by the institute. Unlike many engineering entrance exams that have only one paper, NEE has different levels and paper codes depending on the course and the qualification of the candidate.

For engineering and technology admissions, NEE-II (PCM) is used for students who have completed or are appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. This route is used for admission to B.Tech programmes in areas such as Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Food Engineering and Technology, and Mechanical Engineering.

NERIST also conducts NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III for different entry levels and programmes. NEE-I is meant for admission to the Certificate in Technology stream, while NEE-III is used for entry to selected B.Tech programmes for eligible diploma holders. NEE-II also has separate papers for Forestry, Science and BBA, making NERIST NEE a multi-programme entrance examination rather than an exam meant only for engineering students.
