JEE Advanced is a national level engineering entrance exam for admission into the undergraduate programs of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). To be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, candidates must have qualified JEE Main and met the eligibility criteria, except for eligible foreign national candidates who can register directly. The examination is held annually and comprises two compulsory papers Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both the papers are conducted in computer based test mode and cover Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. JEE Advanced scores are primarily used for admission to B.Tech, B.S., B.Arch, Integrated M.Tech, Integrated B.S.-M.S. and various dual-degree programs offered by IITs. Admission and seat allocation are carried out through JoSAA.
