About University Institute of Technology, Mulamkadakam

Operating directly under the administrative wing of the University of Kerala, this center functions as a constituent institute rather than an independent private entity. This structural setup guarantees that your degree comes straight from a respected state university, stripping away the commercial pressures of self-financing colleges. The institution was built in the late 1990s to democratize technical and business education for suburban families in the Kollam district who need high-utility degrees without steep tuition bills.

Original Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate issued by your last school.
Your 10th and 12th standard original mark sheets along with three self-attested physical copies.

Campus Facilities

Facility	Description
Library	Stocked with prescribed University of Kerala textbooks, programming manuals for your lab work, and a collection of local Malayalam publications.
Student Clubs & Societies	Features a highly active National Service Scheme (NSS) unit where students manage local digital literacy drives and environmental projects around Kollam.
Gym / Fitness Center	A basic recreation space containing dumbbells, pull-up bars, and basic training equipment for daily physical health.
Cafeteria / Canteen	An open-air tuck shop delivering freshly brewed tea, local snacks, and affordable lunch options tailored to student budgets.
Transport	Directly connected via frequent KSRTC and private bus routes on the main Kollam highway, making a dedicated institute bus fleet unnecessary.

What stands out: This center is strictly for commuters who want to attend classes, do their practicals, and head home; it is not for someone seeking hostel life or a typical festive university campus culture. Keep in mind that extracurricular budgets are modest, so your focus here will remain squarely on your academic syllabus.
