About Tahira Khanams College of Education

Most teacher training colleges in Jammu and Kashmir prioritize theoretical exams, but this Srinagar-based campus centers its B.Ed. program around practical school runs along the Srinagar-Baramulla highway. You will spend less time debating abstract classroom theories and more time managing real pupils in regional valley classrooms. The primary focus here remains squarely on preparing you for local school board hiring exams and practical day-to-day teaching challenges.

In practice: This college is not for students seeking a broad, multi-disciplinary university experience; it is a single-purpose institute solely for future schoolteachers. You must check the current calendar directly with the Srinagar campus office before applying, as winter weather conditions often alter the timing of both classes and field placements.
