About Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering

The dry, rugged landscapes of Y.S.R. Kadapa district are famous for their geological riches and ancient forts, but they are also home to a growing crop of technical institutes. Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering serves local students looking for solid engineering degrees without the hassle of relocating to distant metros. Here, the focus remains squarely on getting through the JNTU Anantapur syllabus and building practical laboratory skills in a distraction-free setting.

Getting In

Securing a place here primarily runs through the regional AP EAPCET counseling system. The college registers its branch-wise cutoffs after each allocation round, meaning your branch selection depends heavily on your state rank and the general demand among applicants in the Rayalaseema belt during that academic term.

Once you see your name on the state allotment list, the next step requires physically arriving at the Balaji Nagar administrative office to present your original marksheets and complete the registration paperwork. If you are targeting a seat under the management quota, you must engage with the administration directly to check available vacancies against your intermediate board percentages.

Facilities Overview

Facility	Description
Gym / Fitness Center	A designated weight-training room is set up with basic free weights and multi-station benches for students who prefer working out after their afternoon lectures.
Sports / Playground	The outdoor ground features dedicated court spaces for volleyball and throwball, which become highly active during internal sports meets.
Hostels	Separate living accommodations are managed for outstation students, featuring shared rooms equipped with individual study tables and a dedicated kitchen serving regional Andhra meals.
Medical / Health Center	A first-aid room is maintained on site with a visiting doctor who manages minor seasonal ailments and provides initial care before any necessary transport to nearby Kadapa hospitals.
Transport	A fleet of college-operated buses connects the campus to various residential hubs across Kadapa town and nearby rural neighborhoods, ensuring students do not have to rely on irregular public transport schedules.

One thing to note: Since the campus sits outside the main city center, public transport options dry up after evening lab sessions, making the college bus service almost essential for day scholars. If you are aiming for core engineering branches like Civil or EEE, expect to put in extra individual effort to secure core internships, as off-campus hiring trends in the district heavily favor software roles.
