About Smt. V. M. Chandera Arts College, Divrana

If you are looking at arts colleges in the Saurashtra region, you might wonder: will I actually get to do any practical field work, or is this just three years of memorizing old textbooks?

Smt. V. M. Chandera Arts College answers this by steering its humanities courses toward local application, particularly through rural extension activities in the Junagadh district. Unlike some of the larger, more crowded government colleges in Rajkot where you are just a roll-number, the faculty here in Divrana know which village you come from and help you align your Gujarati or Sociology project with local community initiatives. It is a quiet, self-financed setup that serves those who want an arts degree without the chaotic scramble of a massive city campus.
