About Shree Dhanvantary College of Engineering and Technology

Most engineering colleges in Surat focus their identity around the downtown commercial hub, but this institution positions itself directly against the needs of the Kim industrial belt. If you are looking for an academic bubble of high theory, this is not it; the campus operates with a practical focus designed for students who want to step straight into chemical, civil, or mechanical operations. The curriculum is driven closely by its alignment with Gujarat Technological University, creating a straightforward, work-ready study environment.

Admissions Overview

The state-level Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) manages the enrollment process here. Your placement depends on a combined merit list that evaluates your performance in the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board theory papers along with your GUJCET score. Cutoffs are published during the official counseling cycles, and you must check your rank against their updates.

Once you are assigned a seat through the state portal, you must report to the campus before the designated ACPC round closes. This involves bringing your physical marksheet documents for verification and completing the first-term fee payment to finalize your registration.

On-Campus Amenities

Facility	Description
Transport	A daily bus service connects the campus to major locations across Surat, Kim, and Ankleshwar, making the commute reliable for students residing outside the immediate area.
Gym / Fitness Center	A basic strength-training setup is maintained on campus, allowing students to keep up with physical fitness routines between lab-intensive schedules.
Library	The reading room holds copies of textbooks aligned with the current GTU engineering syllabus, supplemented by regional trade magazines and project reports.
Computer Center / Wi-Fi Campus	High-bandwidth internet access powers the laboratories where students work on computing languages, database management systems, and final-year engineering projects.

Net-net: This is a sensible choice for local Surat students who want to build functional technical skills and secure local industrial employment without migrating to a metro. If you are targeting international research or top-tier software consultancies straight out of college, you will likely find the local industrial focus too limiting.
