Maharaja Suhel Dev State University (MSDSU), also known as Azamgarh University, is a State University located in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. It was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh through Gazette Notification on 5 August 2019. Its first academic session began in 2021–2022. The university affiliates colleges in Azamgarh and Mau which were previously affiliated with Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. Its goal is to improve the quality of higher education in the region.
