About Ktuvkm Shri N S Desai College of Education

Based in Kheralu, the college operates under a local community trust to fill a critical gap in rural teacher training. It trains educators specifically for Gujarati-medium schools. This regional focus makes it highly relevant for candidates targeting state board curriculum jobs, but less so for those aiming for national boards.

Admission Process

Entrance depends on the consolidated score from your undergraduate or postgraduate degree. The college compiles these marks to generate a public merit list, category by category, which is displayed on their official notice board. This determines who qualifies for the limited seats in each pedagogy stream.

Candidates whose names appear within the designated cutoff margins must present their original marksheets and school leaving certificates at the Kheralu campus. Securing the admission requires paying the initial term fee immediately following successful document verification.

Life on Campus

Facility	Description
Gym / Fitness Center	The college maintains basic weight training and cardio equipment to help student-teachers maintain physical health during their intense teaching-practice semesters.
Cafeteria / Canteen	A simple dining space serving local Gujarati vegetarian meals, tea, and daily snacks at subsidized rates for commuting students.
Sports / Playground	An open outdoor ground configured for volleyball and kabaddi, where students organize annual inter-house matches and mandatory physical education drills.
Auditorium / Seminar Hall	A functional assembly hall utilized primarily for micro-teaching practice, guest lectures by local school principals, and student seminars.
Transport	Bus services connect the Kheralu campus to neighboring villages and towns across the Mahesana district, easing the daily commute for rural students.
Hostels	Separate residential accommodations for female students are managed with strict evening curfews and basic shared rooms.

Bottom line: This institution is ideal for local candidates aiming for government teaching jobs in North Gujarat, but those seeking an English-medium corporate school career will find the regional focus restrictive. Be sure to verify the specific pedagogy subjects available for your graduation stream before buying the application packet.
