About Fisheries Survey of India

Step onto the jetty at Mormugao, and you will see the research vessels that make this place feel more like a living marine laboratory than a standard college. If you are looking to sit in air-conditioned lecture halls all day, you will probably hate it here. This base is designed for people who genuinely want to spend their time sorting specimen catches, analyzing ocean currents, and working alongside active marine scientists.

Hostels	Modest, well-maintained residential quarters reserved for outstation research fellows and long-term trainees who need round-the-clock lab access.

The takeaway: Do not choose this place if you want a conventional university experience with college festivals and corporate campus placements. It is a dedicated scientific station, so apply only if you are ready for a quiet, highly focused environment centered around marine research.
