About Faculty of Technology

Rajkot is widely recognized as the engine-manufacturing and casting capital of Gujarat, meaning heavy engineering and industrial automation run deep in the local economy. On the highway just outside this industrial hub, the Faculty of Technology operates in close alignment with these local manufacturing units. This setting provides engineering students with direct access to practical foundry experience and machinery testing labs that are rare in landlocked metropolitan colleges.

Admission Process

The state-level Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) coordinates the enrollment list here, calculating a combined merit score from the Gujarat Board (or equivalent) science results and GUJCET performance. Once the committee publishes the opening and closing ranks for the season, parents can check where their child stands against the previous year's cutoffs for specific branches like Computer or Chemical engineering.

After securing a spot on the merit allotment list, the next step involves submitting the token tuition fee through the central ACPC portal. Families must then present the allotment letter along with original mark sheets and identity proofs at the campus registry to complete the registration.

On-Campus Amenities

Facility	Description
Medical / Health Center	A fully functional dispensary is staffed with a resident medical officer and nurse, offering immediate diagnostic support and maintaining an active tie-up with nearby private hospitals in Rajkot for emergency care.
Gym / Fitness Center	Located near the sports arena, the indoor gym features multi-station strength machines, free weights, and a designated floor space for yoga sessions, managed by professional physical trainers.
Hostels	Separate multi-story residential blocks for boys and girls feature single, double, and triple-occupancy rooms with attached washrooms and study desks designed for long study hours.
Auditorium / Seminar Hall	A centrally air-conditioned hall with a seating capacity of over 1000, utilized for industry symposiums, guest lectures by regional manufacturing heads, and cultural programs.

Net-net: This campus is ideal for students who want to leverage Rajkot’s industrial core for internships, but those seeking a quiet, pedestrian-only city center might find the busy highway location and massive student population somewhat overwhelming. Parents should check whether the student is comfortable commuting by the university’s bus network, as the campus sits quite far from central Rajkot residential areas.
