About City College of Commerce & Business Administration

You need to know up front that this is an evening-only college. If you are looking for a traditional daytime schedule on a sprawling green field, skip this page. Classes run from late afternoon into the night because the entire system is built for students who work jobs or study for professional CA exams during the day. The Surya Sen Street premises are shared with other sister institutions, meaning space is strictly managed but the trade-off is an academic rhythm that respects your daytime commitments.

Campus Facilities

Facility	Description
Library	Houses thousands of commercial law and accounting volumes, specifically stocked to support the University of Calcutta curriculum, with late-evening hours matching class schedules.
Sports / Playground	Utilizes a shared common room for indoor games like carrom and table tennis, alongside access to the central institution's sports meets on external grounds.
Hostels	Does not offer on-campus residential housing, meaning students typically secure rooms in private boarding houses scattered around the Amherst Street and College Street neighborhoods.
Student Clubs & Societies	Driven by the student union, focusing heavily on commerce-specific events, local debates, and the annual college social organized within the shared auditorium space.

Our take: Do not apply here if you want a traditional, slow-paced daytime college experience with vast lawns. This place is an intense, no-nonsense hub for self-driven students who are already working or studying for professional finance credentials during the sunlight hours.
