About Akhilesh Sureshbhai Patel Arts College

We don't have to commute all the way to Nadiad or Ahmedabad just to get a decent degree in the humanities. Run by the Boriavi Kelavni Mandal, this college brings higher education right to our backyard in Kheda, with a strong focus on Gujarati literature and rural development. It is a small, closely-knit community where professors actually know your family name and will call you out if you skip morning lectures.

Getting In

This college runs on a rolling admissions format, meaning you apply directly to the main administrative office in Kheda rather than waiting for a centralized state allocation portal. Make sure you head over to the campus office with this physical checklist ready:

Your original Class 12 marksheet along with three self-attested photocopies
The official School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate from your previous institution
Four recent passport-sized photographs for your physical file registration
A valid caste or category certificate if you are applying under state reservation categories
The first-term enrollment fee in cash, as the local office processes transactions directly at the counter

Facilities Overview

Facility	Description
Library	Stocked heavily with Gujarati literary works, local history archives of the Kheda district, and basic reference textbooks for the BA curriculum.
Transport	Local bus connections scheduled to match the college timetable, helping students from remote Kheda villages get to morning classes safely.
Cafeteria / Canteen	A simple, outdoor-oriented tea stall setup serving fresh hot tea, khaman, and local Gujarati snacks between lecture blocks.
Auditorium / Seminar Hall	A modest, high-ceilinged hall utilized for regional youth festivals, guest lectures on local heritage, and debate competitions.

In practice: Do not choose this college if you are expecting high-tech corporate campus placements or a fast-paced city lifestyle. It is a traditional regional arts college, and you will need to be comfortable with Gujarati being the primary medium of social and academic interaction outside of English classes.
