About Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam

Right off the bat, if you're looking at IIIT Kottayam, you're eyeing an Institute of National Importance. That tag isn't just for show; it means this institution operates with a certain autonomy and national mandate, distinct from your typical university-affiliated college. It officially came into being in 2015, a newer entrant in Kerala's higher education scene, but it quickly staked its claim as a dedicated hub for IT studies within the respected IIIT framework.
