Reliance Foundation Opens Applications for 5,000 Undergraduate Scholarships

Applications for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships 2026-27 are open, giving first-year students a chance to ease the financial load of higher education. The foundation plans to select up to 5,000 scholars this year under its merit-cum-means programme. Selected students will receive financial support of up to ₹2 lakh spread over the full duration of their undergraduate degree. The money can cover tuition, hostel charges, books, laptops and other academic needs. Beyond the grant, scholars also gain access to mentorship, leadership programmes, networking opportunities and a wider alumni community. The scholarships are open to resident Indian citizens who have scored at least 60 per cent in Class 12 and are currently enrolled in the first year of a regular full-time undergraduate degree in any stream for the academic year 2026-27. Household income must be below ₹15 lakh a year, with preference given to families earning less than ₹2.5 lakh. An online aptitude test is mandatory for all applicants. There is no application fee. Applications opened on 14 August 2026 and must be submitted by 11:59 pm on 5 October 2026 through the official portal at Apply Here. Students need basic documents such as Aadhaar, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, and a bonafide certificate from their college. The aptitude test window runs after the application deadline, with final results expected by the end of December. Reliance Foundation has supported more than 33,000 students through its scholarship programmes so far. The current cycle continues that effort by reaching students from diverse backgrounds across the country. Girls and specially-abled students are particularly encouraged to apply. For many families, the combination of financial help and ongoing support can make a real difference in completing a degree without excessive pressure.
