CM Yogi Distributes Appointment Letters to 3,567 Secondary School Educators in Lucknow

Lucknow woke up to a significant moment for secondary education on Tuesday as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 3,567 candidates selected for key posts in non-government aided secondary schools. The ceremony took place at Jupiter Hall in Indira Gandhi Pratishthan under the state’s Mission Rozgar initiative. The selected candidates include 319 principals, 258 headmasters, 618 postgraduate teachers (PGTs) and 2,372 trained graduate teachers (TGTs). They were chosen through the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission after a competitive process. Among those appointed are 1,090 women and 2,477 men. These positions will fill vacancies in aided secondary schools that have long needed stronger leadership and subject teachers. For many students in these institutions, the arrival of regular principals and trained teachers means more consistent classroom instruction, better guidance for board exams, and improved day-to-day school management. Speaking at the programme, the Chief Minister reminded the new appointees of the weight their work carries. “The government can create an environment for setting up industries and help in establishing them. But whether those industries become a foundation for innovation and employment will be decided by the students taught and trained by you. The government can build laboratories, but whether those laboratories conduct excellent research and prepare students for it will be decided by the students trained by you,” he said. He also congratulated the teachers, their families and mentors, noting the scale of their influence. If each of the 3,567 educators engages meaningfully with around 100 students in a year, they would collectively shape the learning of more than 3.5 lakh children. That guidance, he added, forms part of the foundation for a new India. For education aspirants who have been preparing for teaching posts, the event offers fresh encouragement. Transparent selection through the commission continues to open doors for those who clear the examinations on merit. Parents of students in aided secondary schools can look forward to better-staffed classrooms, while serving teachers gain new colleagues who will share the load of academic and administrative work. The appointments form part of the wider effort to strengthen secondary education infrastructure and human resources across Uttar Pradesh. With principals and headmasters now in place alongside subject teachers, schools stand a better chance of improving learning outcomes and supporting students as they move toward higher education or employment.
