JEE Main 2026 Session 2: Registration Ends as Focus Shifts to April Exams

As of March 5, 2026, the registration window for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2 has officially closed. The application process, which began on February 1, concluded on February 25. Candidates who successfully registered and completed their fee payments are now preparing for the April attempt, which serves as the final chance to improve scores for JEE Advanced qualification.

With the correction window also closed (February 27–28), the National Testing Agency (NTA) is now in the process of generating the Advance City Intimation Slips, expected to be released in the second week of March.

  • Qualifying Year: Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024, 2025, or are appearing in 2026 are eligible.
  • Age Limit: No age limit for appearing in JEE Main, though specific institutes (IITs/NITs) may have their own age criteria.
  • The 75% Rule: While there is no minimum percentage to appear in the exam, a minimum of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in Class 12 is required for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
  • Subjects: Candidates must have taken Physics, Mathematics, and one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational) in Class 12.

3. Revision Focus: With approximately 25 days left, prioritize solving previous year papers (PYPs) and focusing on high-weightage topics in Physics and Mathematics.

The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result is expected to be declared by April 20, 2026, which will include the All India Ranks (AIR) and the cut-off for JEE Advanced eligibility.
