Amrita Sets AEEE 2027 Window for April-May, Applications Open in November

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has finally put out the dates for AEEE 2027. The entrance exam for its BTech programmes will be held between April 15 and May 7 next year. Online registration is set to open in November 2026.
This update on the official site aeee.amrita.edu comes as a relief for Class 12 students and their parents who have been waiting for a proper timeline. Many families like to plan coaching and board exam schedules together, and now they have something concrete to work with.
AEEE is the main route into engineering courses at Amrita’s campuses in Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Haridwar and Nagercoil. The university also takes JEE Main 2027 percentile scores. If you register for AEEE, you can use your JEE score as well without paying anything extra. That flexibility helps a lot of students who are preparing for both exams.
The test itself will be computer-based and last two and a half hours. It will be conducted in English at centres in over 100 cities. The current pattern listed on the portal has 100 questions: 40 in Mathematics, 25 in Physics, 20 in Chemistry, 10 in Quantitative Aptitude and 5 in English. Correct answers get three marks each. Wrong ones cost one mark.
Students who are writing Class 12 or an equivalent exam in 2027 can apply as long as they meet the eligibility rules on the website. The application fee is Rs 1,300. Exact dates for when the form opens and closes in November, along with slot booking and admit card details, will come later.
The process is straightforward. Register, book a slot, download the admit card, write the exam, and then join the Centralised Seat Allotment Process. Ranks from AEEE or JEE Main percentile decide the seats.
For parents, the early notice means they can set aside money for the form and any extra classes if needed. Teachers can also adjust their revision plans knowing the entrance window falls after the boards. Students who want to finish board exams first now know they will still have time to polish their entrance preparation before April.
Amrita has asked everyone to stick to the official website for information and stay away from agents promising seats. Keep Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, a recent photo and signature ready so the form can be filled quickly once it goes live.
With the exam period and registration month fixed, aspirants finally have a workable schedule. Keep checking aeee.amrita.edu for the remaining dates and any small changes to the pattern or rules.
