AICTE Launches Industry Fellowship Programme to Bridge Academia and Industry

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched the Industry Fellowship Programme (IFP) 2026 to provide faculty members with direct exposure to real-world industrial environments and emerging technologies. The fellowship is aimed at strengthening industry-academia collaboration and enhancing practical knowledge among technical educators.

Fellowship Benefits

Benefit Details
Monthly Fellowship ₹1,00,000 per month
AICTE Contribution ₹75,000 per month
Industry Contribution ₹25,000 per month
Duration One year full-time immersion

Selected fellows will continue receiving salary and applicable benefits from their parent institutions during the fellowship period.

Eligibility Criteria

Teaching Experience Minimum 5 years full-time teaching experience
Institution Type AICTE-approved institutions only
Faculty Status Regular faculty members only
Maximum Age 50 years

Part-time, ad-hoc, contractual, temporary and visiting faculty members are not eligible to apply under the programme.
