BSEB Revises One Bihar STET 2026 Date, Issues Fresh Admit Cards from October 24

Bihar’s teacher aspirants got a sudden schedule change this week. The Bihar School Examination Board has moved the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test paper that was fixed for November 4 to November 21. The reason is straightforward. That date overlapped with recruitment exams being held by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

Admit cards for the entire STET 2026 cycle first appeared on the portal on October 18. Most candidates have already downloaded theirs. Those whose original date was November 4 will now need a fresh hall ticket. The board says these revised admit cards will be available from October 24 on stetregistration.cbrt.co.in. The same login details work. Application number and password are enough.

Everything else stays the same. Tests begin on October 25 in computer-based mode and run across the coming weeks. Paper 1 is meant for Classes 9 and 10 teaching posts. Paper 2 covers Classes 11 and 12. Your personal admit card still decides the exact day, shift and centre. Do not go by the overall window alone.

For candidates who had November 4, the extra time is useful but only if they stay alert. Download the new card the moment it appears, check every detail, and print a clear copy. Name, photo, roll number, reporting time and centre address all need a second look. Carry a valid photo ID along with the printed admit card on exam day. Centres will not allow entry without both.

The rest of the candidates should stick to the original plan. Keep the admit card already issued ready and continue revision without distraction. The board has made it clear that no other dates in the schedule have changed.

Thousands of young people across Bihar have put in months of preparation for this eligibility test. It remains the main gateway to secondary and senior secondary teaching jobs in government schools. A last-minute date shift is never ideal, yet the board acted to avoid a direct clash that would have forced many to choose between two important exams.

Check the official portal regularly over the next two days. Download early if your date has changed. Reach the centre on time with the right documents. The focus now is simple: stay organised and give the paper your best shot on the day assigned to you.
