Festive Season Hiring 2026 Brings Fresh Digital Marketing and Ad-Tech Roles for Graduates

You can feel the festive push in the job market already. Brands are ramping up for Diwali and the year-end rush, and digital marketing teams need people who can jump in and help.

Demand, as shown in the latest TeamLease EdTech Career Outlook Report for the second half of 2026. In Delhi, the Programmatic Advertising Associate role tops the list for freshers. Half the employers in that space plan to hire for it. Mumbai is different. There, Digital Marketing Executive is the lead role, with 48 percent of companies looking to take on new graduates. Both positions also sit among the top five fresher jobs across the country.

Marketing and advertising as a sector shows 59 percent intent to hire freshers in this period. That’s a small drop from the earlier 62 percent, but the kind of work has shifted. Companies want people who can handle campaign optimisation, targeting, media planning and basic performance tracking. General knowledge is not enough anymore.

Overall fresher hiring across industries has moved up a bit to 75 percent from 73 percent. The festive season is clearly helping. More ad spends mean more campaigns, and more campaigns need more hands.

These roles give graduates a solid starting point. A Programmatic Advertising Associate works with systems that buy and place ads online. The day-to-day involves watching campaigns, making small changes and checking what works. Digital Marketing Executives cover a broader mix, from social and search to display ads. Both give early exposure to real results and real numbers.

Employers keep saying the same thing. They prefer candidates who have already tried the tools, run a small campaign or finished a short course. Certificates in Google Ads or Meta ads help. So does the ability to explain data in simple language.

Other cities are joining in too. Gurugram has interest in Customer Insights Analyst roles. Bengaluru is looking at Marketing Automation Associates. Graduates ready to move or work with multi-city agencies have more options than usual.

Many companies want to lock in talent before the peak load hits. That makes the next few weeks a good time to apply. Profiles that show even small practical projects tend to stand out faster than those that only list theory.

The festive season is not creating jobs everywhere, but it is opening focused doors in digital marketing and ad-tech. Graduates who match their skills to what companies actually need right now have a better shot at turning this seasonal demand into a first proper role.
